The Accommodation
La Visseyre is a charming Auvergnat farmhouse that has been sensitively restored.
With its thick stone walls, timbered ceilings and shuttered windows, the house is cool and comfortable in summer, while in winter the central heating, double glazed windows and log fire make it warm and cosy.
La Visseyre is a great place to relax and plan your exploration of this magnificent part of France. There are 2 twin and 2 single bedrooms (with additional bed chairs).
Bathrooms are not en-suite but light and spacious, each with shower, basin and wc. There is a large kitchen/dining room where meals are normally taken en-famille.
You are welcome to join us for dinner by prior arrangement, this way it is up to you if and when, you eat out. If you get peckish between meals there are tea making facilities and a small fridge where you can store your own drinks and snacks. There is a private lounge giving direct access to the garden.
Your hosts are Neill and Briony Tucker who have worked hard at getting to know the best walks, cycle tracks and local attractions (a tough job but someone had to do it!) so that they can help you get the most from your stay in the Auvergne.
