Briony and Croquette enjoying the sun  in the doorway of the stable. Donkeys need permanent access to good shelter in Winter and Summer.

Briony giving Tiebel a good brush. Donkeys generally enjoy this and you may even get a kiss for your trouble. However.....

Do not be surprised if your donkey heads for the nearest piece of dusty ground and has a good roll, undoing all your hard work!  Rolling is a natural behaviour which is partly territorial and partly "having a good back scratch". Watch for excessive rolling as this maybe an indication of a skin irritation or something more serious e.g. colic and should be investigated further.

Tiebel and Croquette nibbling the bark from some recently cut branches. Again this is quite normal for donkeys and helps keep them occupied when there is little grazing available.

Tiebel being nosey as usual. A happy healthy donkey will generally look alert and be interested in any "activity" nearby.

This page shows a few pictures of the day to day activities with Croquette and her daughter Tiebel.
